The translation is horrible, littered with constant Bill Clinton jokes. The Windows version, the only version that’s in English, is god awful compared to the original. However, EVE has issues in the English world. English fans of eroge can experience the masterpiece that is YU-No in both the Windows version, which is probably the greatest fan translation of all time, and the original PC-98 version (there’s also the remake but no one likes that). The scenario writer for Burst Error, Xenon, Love Potion, and YU-No, passed away the same year. The composer, Umemoto, sadly passed away in 2011 at the young age of 37. There’s been a remake of the original game, EVE Burst Error R, by the same company.
